“Bluf weh van de put, andrs pakt Kalle met den oak jun!”
Kalle Met Den Oak was a folklore character used to scare children away from wells and swamps in West-Flanders. It is also the name of our beers inspired by the unique tradition of Flanders Red ales.
Kalle Met Den Oak is a strong ale that has been aged for over a year in a barrel with a mixture of wild yeasts and bacteria. The malt, oak and fruity complexity of the mixed fermentation create bold sweet and sour flavours. Definitely not for children who are easily scared.
