Proceeds the Gentian (2019)
On a cold and rainy April day in 2018 we brewed an Amaro-inspired sour/bitter beer together with the three brothers of Pen Druid Brewing (Virginia, USA). We added gentian root and Sicilian oranges to the coolship overnight, before barrel-aging it for fifteen months. Bottled July 2019. ABV:8% IBU:
Artemisia Absinthium (2020)
In our search for sour-bitter combinations, we infused a beer, barrel aged for about a year, with dried wormwood flowers from our garden. The beer itself was brewed with barley malt, raw wheat and aged hops. Bottled January 2020. ABV:6% IBU:

This purple oddity was a collaboration with our good friend Andrew De Haan and Urbanrest Brewing Company. The tea lends a nice complex earthiness and a beautiful light purple color.
